In order to increase website traffic to your website, you must be able to reach your target audience in the fastest way possible. With pay per click ads, you can generate highly targeted campaigns that serve only to drive the right customers to your site. You may not even have to pay for these visitors. Many of them will make purchases at your website because they found you first through a back link from an ad you had placed.
To increase website traffic to your website and also drive traffic to your online store, increase your audience. The best way to do this is through getting a large audience to your website and then drive traffic to your online store. But how do you find a large audience? There are many ways. And here some of the most effective:
The number one strategy involves creating content that is highly relevant to your website. Do an internet search for “web page ranking” and you will get a list of online search engines. On the left side of the page of each engine there is usually a column for “content”. The more popular a website is on these engines, the more traffic potential there is. Write content that are highly relevant to your website, and the more likely readers will find it.
The next strategy is to make sure you get listed in the major search engines such as Yahoo!, Google, MSN and Ask. When you search for something on these search engines, if you see a site listed, chances are it’s ranked highly. Check out the site map on the Google website. It will show you where each page is on the search engine results page. If you can increase the number of pages that appear in this search engine results page, the better chance you have of being noticed by readers. Write unique, valuable content in your meta titles and meta descriptions.
You can also increase website traffic by building links internally. Internal links are like votes for your site from other websites. This strategy will increase the authority page of each link and thus increase the links from Google, Bing and Yahoo!
The third tactic type is a short-term tactic. In the case of this tactic type, I recommend using it to increase traffic immediately. You can try this tactic by running a single, short PPC ad, and then follow up with a text link or an autoresponder series. Each time the ad is run, it will be worth your while. The reason why this tactic works so well is because Google loves short-term traffic.
The fourth tactic is the viral strategy. You can try this tactic by writing articles linking back to your blog or website on article directories such as EzineArticles, etc. Then you should spread the word using social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Google+ as much as possible. Be as original as possible in this tactic (i.e. add your unique selling proposition), because you want to increase your page rank as much as possible.
The final tactic I’d like to discuss in this article is PPC or pay per click advertising on Instagram. This is where you would place a small ad on Instagram for each of the products you are currently promoting. If someone clicks on your Instagram ads, then you have to pay her/him. In my experience, this can be very effective because you are reaching a target audience directly. However, it can also be very expensive. For example, to run just one Instagram ad would cost you hundreds of dollars.
